I love the way you're able to promote radical optimism without denying what's happening in the world. Pairing these definitions with solutions is a great way to do that.
I'm a bit in the midst of it here in the US but I also want to try focusing more on the local level. There's so much that's best done or can only be done locally.
I've histroically been head-in-the-sand with Aussie politics too, but I think this year I'll get more involved, and really look in to who the Federal Reps for my area are.
Glimmers today are having the heater on for the first time in months, sitting beneath it while I write this morning's substack letter.

Also...cherry trees growing outside my window. Two years until they bloom, but they look strong right now.
Turning up the volume of local politics should be a mantra for us all. And can I just say that a Democracy Sausage is a genius idea. Here in the UK we have the Dogs At Polling Stations hashtags on social media which are fun way to mark election days

Yes, we have a strict law about it until polls close at 10pm. I guess it's a bit different for you as you have different time zones to contend with.
Great point, let’s not all get so distracted by US politics that we completely forget our own…
